The Environment

 

The Lachlan Fold takes in all the ranges from Myall Park to Lake Cargelligo and covers an area in excess of 1,000,000 ha. Ranges include Cocoparra, Lachlan and Naradhan Ranges and the Meringe, Scrubby and Melbergen Ridges.

 

The landholders are scattered amongst the hills and form a mosaic pattern. As people become aware of the aims of the group it is hoped that more landholders will join and the gaps between properties will be filled in.

 

The Lachlan Fold also covers an area between Wagga Wagga, Narrandera, the Brobenah Hills and Dubbo where work to conserve and increase the Glossy Black populations has been undertaken.
